Research Interests

My research involves the exploration for hydrothermal activity, geochemistry of sediment and pore water, studies of particle-metal interaction, application of trace metals as paleoproxies, chemical analysis of geological materials, design of chemical sensors for environmental and oceanographic studies, and geochemistry of the rare earth elements. Special interests are the use of innovative engineering solutions to solve oceanographic problems - also the application of plasma spectrometry to the analysis of fluids, sediments, and other geological samples.
